My Story
My passion for ultrasound began in 2001 after losing twins halfway through my pregnancy. I had 2 toddlers at the time and slowly started going back to school. I graduated and passed my boards as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer in 2010. I have been blessed to work and have continued to work alongside exceptional perinatologists, radiologists, OBGYNs, ER physicians, and most recently, doulas and midwives! My 2 daughters have become doulas themselves and I have 3 adorable grandchildren!
Shannon Villanueva Ultrasound Technologist, RDMS
I have 14+ years of experience scanning patients in the hospital and outpatient settings. I have a special bond with my expecting patients as well as their families. I love it when I see a very nervous, scared, teary-eyed patient come in and I leave the room seeing them completely calm and smiling!
I explain to my patients what we are looking at, what I am doing, and why. I can answer most questions related to pregnancy. And the bonus is watching their faces light up as I show them their baby wiggling their toes, yawning, or drinking. Or showing my client the baby’s long eyelashes, hair, heart, or spine and SO much more!
It is all such a miracle! And I cannot wait to see you and your significant other bond with your baby. This is one of the most precious times in your life!

My Mission
As a mom, a stepmom, a grandma, and someone who has personally experienced multiple pregnancies as well as pregnancy loss, I have a huge heart and compassion for pregnant women and their families. I have a special connection with those women and families who have experienced a loss. My goal is that you feel at peace while bonding with your baby in a memorable way.
My Experience
I am an active registrant of ARDMS and I am compliant with continuing competency and yearly fee requirements. I practice safe practices and principles while scanning using the ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) standards for OB ultrasounds.
